Library Thursdays...

This summer the kids are enrolled in a reading program at the library.  Every Thursday we go to the library and each child chooses 3 books to read for that week.  When we return the next Thursday, they receive a small treat (sticker, eraser, stamp, etc) for reading their books and we also attend a special event (juggler, animal show, etc).  Our dear friends are also signed up for the program (in fact, they introduced it to us!) and we have a blast spending our Thursdays together for a very full and very fun day!

We usually start the day off at the library for our special event and treats!  Here are the kids watching the Animal Show!  They saw doves, snakes, chinchillas, and hedgehogs!  

The library is located on the corner of an large outdoor mall area that has restaurants, fountains, a playground and much more.  We usually head off for some food and fellowship after the library activities!

And who can resist some ice cream on a hot summer day????

Finally, off to run around the fountains and tackle the playground to work off some of that sugar.  A perfect end to a perfect day.
